Financing a just and inclusive transition
We believe that the transition to a lower-carbon economy must take into consideration the challenges of emerging markets, which rely more on high-emissions energy sources, such as coal, for development, compared to developed nations.
To support emerging markets in their decarbonisation journeys, we are directing investments towards financing low-carbon or transition activities in the region, while meeting our fiduciary requirements.
